Spike announces Video Game Awards nominees

The sixth annual Video Game Awards will be broadcast live Dec. 14 from Sony Picture Studios in Culver City, Calif. The ceremony will feature 50 Cent performing “Get Up” to footage of his upcoming game, “50 Cent: Blood in the Sand,” as well as world-premiere footage from other games.

The awards show won’t be without some celebrity winners. Actors and actresses who lent their voices to games are also nominated. Ricky Gervais, Kiefer Sutherland, Liam Neeson and Daniel Craig will compete for Big Name In The Game - Male; Jenny McCarthy, Liv Tyler, Eliza Dushku (as “Shaundi” in Saints Row 2) and Judi Dench will face off for Big Name In The Game - Female.
