Welcome to the temp. version of Eliza Fan! The full version shall be up and running (hopefully) by mid-2008 at the latest. :) I’ve been a fan of Eliza for a long time but I never felt the need - nor felt that the time was right - to make a site, until now that is. ;) There is basic content already online and the gallery holds over 8,000 images with many more still to be added!

My name is Angie and you may know of my other sites such as Amy Acker Fan and Jessica Alba Fan to name a few. I have to give huge thanks to Gertie for hosting yet another site of mine and to various friends for their support while I got this site together - you know who you are!

I’ve spent (roughly) several months putting this site together but I decided to open it up today as a temp. version - despite not being finished with the full version - because one of Eliza’s indie movies, Sex and Breakfast, is being released in limited theatres today - view this post for further details - and the DVD shall be released in January 2008! :)

I am also looking for high quality affiliates so be sure to apply if you’re interested - there are 50 spots available. ;) Take a look around, enjoy your stay here, and don’t hesitate to leave a comment before you leave. :D

Paris Tasting film with Alan Rickman slated for Sundance

Bottle Shock, one of the films about the 1976 Paris Tasting, has finished shooting and will premier at the Sundance Film Festival in January.

The film, which publicists say is ‘loosely based’ on the now-legendary tasting in Paris when American wines trounced the French in a blind tasting, was shot entirely on location in Napa and Sonoma and is now in the editing phase.

Filming took place in the town of Sonoma, Carneros vineyards and in wineries such as Chateau Montelena and Kunde throughout much of August and September.

Bottle Shock is directed by Randall Miller and stars Bill Pullman, Eliza Dushku, Alan Rickman and Chris Pine. It tells the story of the Barretts, son Bo and father Jim from Chateau Montelena, whose 1973 Chardonnay beat four Burgundies and half a dozen American whites in 1976.

LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) - The Hollywood writers strike will continue, but now so will negotiations between the union and the studios.

The Writers Guild of America (WGA) and studio reps will head back to the bargaining table on November 26 after back-channel dialogue facilitated by Creative Artists Agency partner Bryan Lourd helped put the parties onto a more productive track. The WGA and the Alliance of Motion Picture & Television Producers (AMPTP) put out brief, identical statements Friday night.

No other details were provided, and a press blackout was instituted. But it’s clear that the emotion-charged issue of new-media compensation will remain front and center when the talks resume.

The writers’ strike is now in effect which means that Joss’s and Eliza’s new show, Dollhouse will not be happening any time soon as it has now been put on hold - it all depends on if the issues are resolved. Read more at the wonderful new site, Dollverse.

In casting news, Joss has confirmed to Ausiello that a male character will be involved with her Echo alter ego, but, Whedon noted, “not in a buddy way. Their relationship will take some time to come together and will be constantly evolving.” If you’re thinking Buffy and Angel, Part Deux, think again. “Echo is not capable of having a true love,” he insists, since she becomes someone new, body and soul, every week. On the other hand, he contradicts, because of that, in a way, “She’ll have a true love every week. It’s part of her plight that when she feels something strongly, it gets taken away from her. And the person she’s closest to in the show, her relationship with him will not in any way be simple. Nobody in this piece comes away clean.”

There are also rumours that Buffy alum, James Marsters, may be joining the show - I’ll be sure to keep you guys posted on that!
